This walk starts at White Sheet Plantation car park (BH21 7DB), owned by the Forestry Commission. There may be a car parking fee. I will confirm nearer the time if there is and how much it is.
It is an area of attractive mixed woodland and open heath.
The route is approximately 4.5 miles, and I suggest walking boots as some of the tracks can be muddy if it has rained.
I first walked this route after Paul Mitchell’s talk a while ago, so it will be great to introduce you to this woodland to try out his suggestions.
There are some broad open areas where ICM can be tried, as well as dappled shade and areas of direct sunlight.
The walk crosses Udden water and also joins the Castleman Trailway.
Afterwards, we will have refreshments at Stewart’s Garden Centre.

Follow the A31 to the Ringwood roundabout and take the exit for Ashley Heath, Three-Legged Cross and Horton. Continue along the Horton road through Three Legged Cross, then turn left shortly at the village, following the sign for Holt. The road now runs for a little while beside Holt Heath. Then turn left, following the sign to Broom Hill, Colehill and Wimborne Minster. (The signpost is on the right, just past the turning.) After about 3/4 mil, turn left into White Sheet car park.
Easy Flat walk, but may be muddy if there has been rain.
