The Parade, seen from Jephson Gardens

A string of parks run through Leamington Spa, alongside the River Leam - from Victoria Park in the west, through the Pump Room Gardens, to Jephson Gardens/Mill Gardens in the east, and beyond to Newbold Comyn.

The parks and gardens vary in character, incorporating design eras from the Victorians to the present day. There are formal flower beMill Bridgeds, open green areas, mature trees, and children's playgrounds. The riverside also features a canoe club and the crown green bowling centre ("the home of English bowls").

The gardens are well-used by locals and visitors alike. Victoria Park's tennis courts, skate park and paddling pools are very popular, as is the Leam Boat Centre in Mill Gardens. Each of the parks has at least one café. Despite all the activity, there is also enough space to find somewhere for solitary contemplation.

Walk Directions

We will meet at the Royal Pump Rooms, which are at the end of the Pump Room Gardens, and opposite the entrance to Jephson Gardens. The Pump Rooms are located at the south end of The Parade, Leamington Spa, with plenty of public parking available in the town. The nearest car park is St Peters multi-storey car park.

Postcode for the Pump Rooms: CV32 4AA

The Pump Rooms are a ten-minute walk from Leamington Spa railway station.

The X18 bus between Coventry/Kenilworth and Stratford-upon-Avon stops on the Parade nearby.

Accessibility

Each of the parks has a network of gravelled paths, should you not want to walk on the grass. There are some steps, but always with alternative ramp access. Being leisure gardens, there are benches dotted throughout.
