Chichester Cathedral offers many photographic opportunities with its Norman and Gothic architecture. There is a free standing bell tower outside. Inside there are medieval sculptures and many modern art works set in a very English cathedral.
The Bishop's Palace Gardens are nearby and offer another set of photographic possibilities.
Cathedrals are expensive places to maintain so please make a donation.
We'll take lunch in the Cloisters Kitchen & Garden at 1pm (assuming I'm able to book a table at that time).

If the weather is suitable and anyone is interested we could then spend the afternoon at Bosham, the tide will be going out until 4pm. Holy Trinity Church Bosham is small and worth a visit.
Chichester Cathedral
We will meet by the bell tower and statue at 10am. We are expected at the Cathedral.
Public transport
It's an eleven minute walk from the railway station to the Cathedral.
These bus services stop outside the Cathedral:
| Route | Common Destination | Weekday Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| 700 | Portsmouth / Bognor Regis | Every 20–30 mins |
| 60 | Midhurst | Every 30 mins |
| 500 | Littlehampton | Every 30 mins |
| 50 | Summersdale | Every 30 mins |
Parking
Avenue de Chartres or Northgate are good choices for parking, I'll use Northgate. It's roughly a 10 minute walk from either of those to the Cathedral.
Please see their description.
