As the winter sunlight bathes the historic spires and cobblestone streets, your lens will capture the essence of a city that breathes history. Imagine framing the timeless beauty of King's College Chapel, the intricate details of the Mathematical Bridge, and the modern elegance of the University of Cambridge buildings.

Our route will wind through quaint alleys, and vibrant squares, providing you with endless opportunities to capture the spirit of Cambridge through your lens. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just starting your journey, this Photo Walk is an opportunity to learn, share, and create together.

What to Expect:

Discover unique perspectives and angles for your architectural photography. Engage in discussions about the historical and cultural significance of each location. Share tips, tricks, and techniques with fellow enthusiasts. Enjoy the camaraderie of a community passionate about photography.

Bring your camera, comfortable walking shoes, and a curious spirit. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced photographers. Don't forget to charge your batteries and clear your memory cards for a day filled with photographic inspiration.

The meeting point for the photo walk is Campkins Camera Shop, 12A King Parade, Cambridge CB2 1SJ.

Campaigns Camera Shop

The closest car park is Grand Parade Car Park, Corn Exchange Street, Cambridge CB2 3QF or make use of the 3 different Park and Ride car parks on the outskirts of Cambridge. 

The cost £3.50 and the buses run every 10 to 15 minutes and the journey is approximately 10 minutes. The bus stops are close to the Grand Parade Car Park. 

You will see the Hilton Hotel which needs to be on your right hand side as you walk along Downing Street which merges into Pembroke Street. At the end of the street turn right into Trumpington Street and head towards King Parade and the meeting point.

Being a city centre there are plenty of coffee and cake shops if you feel the need to warm up during the photo walk.

Accessibility

We have selected a loop along the streets of the centre of Cambridge the route is flat making for a gentle walk and there are a few options to take short cuts that will take you back to the starting point.
