Beaulieu is a charming, unspoilt, village nestled in the heart of the New Forest, allowing you to step back in time to explore the streets filled with character, where you are able to shoot free-roaming ponies and donkeys wandering in the streets - but ONLY with a camera!
The impressive Palace House sits on the banks of a large tidal Mill Pond fed by the privately owned Beaulieu River that runs for several miles down to Bucklers Hard, where some of Nelson's boats were built including his favourite Agamemnon, before reaching the Solent.
The National Motor Museum and Palace House is at Beaulieu but admission fee is payable.

You are free to explore the village of Beaulieu, it is a small village with a characterful High Street with "paths" leading off ..... not an easy place to get lost! The Mill Pond and River, being the focus of the walk, are clearly identified and a quick study of Google Maps will show how compact the village is. I will also include a map showing the river path. The date and time of the walk have been chosen to match High Tide so there will be plenty of water, and you may even see the Seals in the river (if you are lucky!).
Very level ground as the river indicates, a number of the footpaths are Gravel, but well maintained offering easy access to all on foot or mobility scooters
