Nestled in the heart of the Essex countryside, Papermill Lock is one of the most picturesque spots along the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation. The historic lock, once central to the transport of goods, now provides a peaceful setting where narrowboats, wildlife, and timeless riverside views meet. With meadows, towpaths, and traditional canal scenes, it’s the perfect place for a relaxed photowalk—capturing both nature and heritage in a tranquil rural landscape.
