Wimborne, Dorset
Approximately 3 miles in distance
This walk will start at Eye Bridge, (free parking) where there are numerous photographic opportunities. Then, depending on the weather, we will either walk into Wimborne, about twenty minutes along the side of the river (which you will have to walk back to pick up the cars) or drive to Wimborne and park in the Allendale car park (£2.40 for three hours). From there, we will walk the course of the streams that run through the town. We will stop for a comfort break and refreshments during the walk. The walk around Wimborne will be about one hour, but that will depend on the amount of time people want to stop to take photographs.
There are plenty of opportunities to photograph wildlife, flora, buildings, and reflections.
The route is fairly flat but I would recommend reasonable footwear as some areas are prone to mud if it rains. Also I would suggest long trousers as the Council have not cleared the footpaths as of the 7th August and there are nettles encroaching onto the paths.

The meeting place is EYE Bridge BH21 4EL, as you drive into the small car park there is a gateway on the left which has more parking if necessary.
If you are coming to Wimborne on the A31from the Ferndown direction, go straight across the roundabout at Merley House, then at the next roundabout, take the B3078, which is signed posted as the way to Kingston Lacey. Go over Julian's Bridge and take the first exit at the mini roundabout just after the hospital, turn left into Cowgrove Road.
Go past the turning to Pamphill on the right, and then on the left is a small gravel area, which is the first part of the car park.
Parts of this walk is quite rough, but other parts are accessible by wheelchair. I would just have to give you directions as how to get around the various obstacles. The track from Eye bridge in some places is just that but there is access from the other end of the path.
As previously mentioned long trousers would be a good idea and comfortable footwear.
