Meet at the entrance/ticket office at the top car park at 10.00 for 10.15 start. Non-National Trust members will need to pay the entrance fee of £22 and the car park cost of £4.50. The walk takes in the gardens with views of the Palladian house, descends to the lake and follows the circular route around the lake back to the cafe. There are well-defined paths which are stony in places and can be muddy in bad weather. There are some steep parts but the route is fairly easy if sticking to the paths. Stout shoes or walking boots are essential. Wellingtons advised in very wet weather. There are plenty of photo opportunities but the National Trust do not allow images to be used for commercial purposes.
The walk is estimated to take 2 hours.
Meet back at the cafe in the main car park at 12.30 for coffee/lunch. If not please advise the walk leaders.
