The Cathedral Sacrist is happy to welcome our group on 19 May, avoiding 11 am to 11.30 am, as there will be a service taking place. Therefore, we will meet outside the main doors at 11am and start with outside photography of the Cathedral. If the weather is bad we will go to the Cloisters after meeting at the main doors.
There are plenty of opportunities for photography both inside and outside, but we are asked not to use tripods. Please see the Cathedral website to give you an idea of what to expect. https://cathedral.org.uk/ The Cathedral dates back to 1096. From the impressive stained glass windows, to Edith Cavell's resting place, the Cathedral's unique font, Budge the Cathedral Cat and the Peregrine Falcons on the spire, and so much more - there is a lot for us to look out for and photograph.
We will be able to stop for lunch and refreshments at the Cathedral Refectory & Cafe.
We will aim to be done by no later than 3pm, however, you will be able to stay until later than that as the Cathedral is open to the public from 7am to 6.30pm.
The Cathedral points out that although there is no charge for entering the Cathedral, a donation would be welcome.
