Photograph from web of Brocton Coppice in summertime.

Brocton Coppice is an area of ancient oak woodland, situated on Cannock Chase. A relatively easy walk but walking boots or trainers are recommended as it is on a gentle hillside. There are no toilet or refreshment facilities. The nearest ones available are at Milford Common - approximately 2 miles away by car. Flasks and a picnic are advised. The distance covered is down to personal choice - a few hundred yards up to a mile. It is an opportunity to photograph avenues of trees, trunk textures, fungi, moss and autumn colours. You might be lucky enough to photograph the deer.
