Titanic building, Belfast

The walk will take place on Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 10:30 am. We will start our walk at the Titanic building and walk the short distance to photograph HMS Caroline and the area around the Titanic dry dock. We will then make our way back along the River Lagan via the Waterfront Hall area and then on to finish at Belfast City Hall in the city centre. Key points along the walk include:

  • Titanic building (starting point)
  • Belfast Shipyard inc H&W cranes
  • HMS Caroline
  • Queen’s Bridge
  • Beacon of Hope statue
  • Waterfront Hall area

Walk Directions

The Titanic building is just a short walk from Belfast City Centre, with easy access to public transport.

By Car
Vehicles approaching Belfast on the M1 or M2 should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport M3, taking the first exit for Titanic Quarter. There are 520 secure, underground paid parking spaces available.

By Train
Translink operate regular train services from Belfast City Centre and beyond. For up-to-date information on timetables please see translink.co.uk. Please disembark at Titanic Quarter Station for Titanic Belfast. From here there is pedestrian access via a footbridge, please then follow signage to Titanic Belfast. Walking time is approx. 15 mins from station. Download our Walking Route Map for directions.

By Bus or Glider 
Translink operate Metro Services 26, 26A, 26B, 26C from Belfast City Centre - departing outside the Belfast Welcome Centre to Titanic Belfast. While the Airport Express 600, 600A, 600B services Belfast City Centre, Titanic Belfast and George Best Belfast City Airport. View timetables here for latest information.

Translink also operate the Belfast Glider which connects East and West Belfast and Titanic Quarter with the city centre. There is a Titanic halt outside Titanic Belfast.

Accessibility

The walk is about 2.5 miles in total, and the route is all paved footpaths.

The Bangor & North Down Camera Club address is 100 Ward Avenue, Bangor, County Down, BT20 5HH. It is located at the end of Ward Avenue at the Junction of Seacliffe Road. It is directly opposite Kings Fellowship.

There is ample safe parking in the immediate vicinity of the premises.

Please note that Seacliffe Road is ONE WAY in the direction coming out from Bangor town centre. Ward Avenue can be accessed from Ballyholme Road.
