The walk focusses on the coast in or near Blackpool. Much of the promenade has been remodelled providing the photographer with the opportunity to capture modern architecture and sculptures set against the traditional Victorian architecture of the Tower and the three Piers and the distinctive skyline of the Pleasure Beach. We will start in Cleveleys, a few miles to the north of Blackpool and later in the day drive to either Blackpool central ( for the Tower) or Blackpool south (for the Pleasure Beach). Either location will allow the piers to be captured.
We will mainly stay on the flat promenade. As the tide recedes there will be the opportunity to move onto the beach which may require walking down steps onto wet sand however this is not essential. Distance walked is up to each individual but typically would be a mile or two. There is a tram service along the promenade however moving from the first location to the second will be easier by car.
