Depending on numbers we may split our group into two to avoid too much competition inside the church, with half going to the college first and the others the church then swapping.
We will be visiting the Crichton Church, and have access to photograph inside. There will be opportunities for capturing wide images within the church, but there are also many smaller scenes that could provide interesting subjects. Double exposures or other techniques could also prove interesting!
A tripod would be useful inside the church.
We will also visit the college which will provides opportunities for interesting work with geometrical shapes, lots of reflective surface, and more abstract work. You will be surprised at how what you might have regarded as a mundane structure can on closer inspection provide exciting creative interpretations!
Between the church and the college buildings there are many sandstone buildings which could also provide alternative subjects.
We will aim to lunch at one of the cafes on the site giving us time to chat!

We will meet at the Easterbrook Hall carpark.
The church is approximately 150 yards from the car park across flat grass or paved roadway, there are a few stairs to get into the church. The walk through the site to the college is flat and around half a mile depending on the route through the other structures. At the college buildings there are some areas which require walking across sloping grass areas but these can be avoided.
