Join me on a walk around the historic cathedral city of Exeter. The architecture is varied and offers the opportunity to shoot very varied architectural imagery, from the 900 year old cathedral to modern shopping malls. Whether you like the ancient or the new there will be something for everyone to capture.
Although we start at the Cathedral you can then wander as far as you would like, possibly to the nearby high street or the medieval Exe Bridge or the Quay. You can choose to photograph one location, such as the Cathedral, in great detail, or look for wider vistas of buildings and structures. The entrance fee to the Cathedral is £7.50 (£6.00 for seniors).
Once we have met up you can explore the city on your own or with others in the group. We will meet in a coffee shop for refreshments at a time to be agreed. You will then be able to carry on exploring should you wish.

We will meet at the entrance to Exeter Cathedral.
Places to photograph include:
- Exeter Cathedral and surrounding buildings
- The Guildhall
- The High Street
- Medieval Exe Bridge
- The Quay and the Canal
The cathedral is easily accessible from the High Street and a short walk from Central Station and from the Bus Station. It is a slightly longer walk up the hill from St David's Station.
It is best to take public transport as parking in the city centre can be expensive. Park and Ride is available.
We will mainly be walking on pavements or footpaths. The main city centre is pedestrianised, but we will need to watch out for buses. There are also some areas that are accessible via steps.
