This T-W-T is going to be a pleasant amble along the famous Quayside in Newcastle upon Tyne,
We can meet in the square outside the Malmaison Hotel. There are often seats outside as their coffee shop is at the front overlooking the square - if it is heavy rain I will be inside by the window ( if possible )
The "blinking eye! Millennium Bridge will be right in front of us here.
It is a flat walk along pedestrianised walkways along the North bank of the Tyne towards the Tyne Bridge and Swing Bridge.
There is a great mixture of modern architecture and the old stuff..
Crossing the Millennium Bridge takes you to the Baltic Modern Art Centre and the Glasshouse (was the Sage Music Centre)
The whole circuit can't be more than 2 miles.

From the Malmaison we can walk either east away from the bridges in order to get a good shot of the Millenium Bridge in front the Swing and Tyne Bridge OR go west up towards and under the Tyne Bridge . Either way we are starting in the middle area .
We can decide on day where to go first.
Closest Car Park St Annes on Sandgate - NE1 2BH ( it’s on the map showing the walk )
Cost is £4 for 24 hours
The whole area around the Quayside is mainly flat and pedestrianised.
There are some steep steps from Baltic up to Sage and steep hill down from Sage to Swing Bridge.
There is a very sharp incline if you want to get up and onto the Tyne Bridge itself from the Quayside.
