A walk from Ripley Surrey to the Wey Navigation at Walsham Lock, then along the canal to Pyrford Lock and Newark Priory (Ruins).
The total distance should be 2.84 miles, not including a short walk from the car park upon returning to get refreshments in the village.
Ripley itself is quite a charming village with a few photo opportunities. Walsham Lock is also photogenic and so too are the ruins of Newark Priory which can be seen across the Wey Navigation.
Given the time of year, the foliage is likely not to have changed much. So, one option is Infra Red (either an IR camera or a filter). The B&W examples below were taken using a 720 nm IR filter which required the use of a tripod as an IR filter is very similar to a heavy ND filter.
I have listed the default meet up / start time of the walk as 10:00 am, However, when I have the details of those or anyone that has signed up for this I may suggest a much earlier start that would catch the sunrise at Newark Priory (Sunrise is at 07:07 on the 4th). I would only change the start time from 10:00 am to a much earlier one if all participants were happy to do so. If you have seen the talk by Vanda that precedes all these inland water walks and are inspired by the images you have seen (which I'm sure you will be) then if you wish to emulate them then the early option is your only chance. Virtually all Vanda's beautiful imagery is taken in the blue hour and at sunrise.
