Bacton Wood in North Norfolk is a mixed woodland that dates back to Saxon times, includes ancient Sessile Oaks and some 30 other species of tree.

Bacton Woods has a number of signed trails and smaller paths winding through the undergrowth. there are opportunities for woodland vistas and smaller intimate schemes of Autumn Colour and fungi.
There is ample car parking (free) both in the formal cap park and on the roads surrounding the wood.
We will meet at the information board in the car park.
Accessibility
Many of the paths are accessible although there are some steep inclines
