Lanhydrock House is surrounded by extensive parkland and riverside woodland above the River Fowey It is owned and managed by the National Trust.
Lanhydrock Park contains a famous avenue of ancient beech and sycamore running down towards the River Fowey and a spectacular area of woodland dating back to 1634.
National Trust members will have free entry to the car park whilst non members will need to pay £6 for all day parking. Entry to the parkland is free.
There are multiple possible routes. I would recommend a 3 mile circular route through the Parkland and down to the river before returning to the meeting point. Anyone who wishes to walk less will find plenty to photograph closer to the meeting point.
The National Trust welcomes visitors and members to take photos for ‘personal use’ for free, this includes for your own enjoyment, and sharing with friends and family.

There are several well made hardcore paths but these have limited access to the woodland. Other paths are generally well made but can be uneven in places. If the weather has been wet paths can be muddy so please wear apprproate footwear.
There are accessible toilets opposite the Park Café and in the Stables courtyard adjacent to the House.
