Hadrian's Folly, Shugborough Estate

Shugborough Hall is owned by the National Trust and entry will be free to members. It is the former home of royal photographer, Lord Lichfield.

Non National Trust members can pay entry on the day. Shugborough has 900 acres of Grade I listed parkland as well as historical buildings, wildlife and monuments across the estate. The Essex Bridge is only a short walk outside the estate.

Walk Directions

Numerous footpaths, mostly tarmac and gravel. Very flat, easy walking. Walking boots/trainers recommended. A free map showing the paths and significant features of the estate will be provided.

Accessibility

There is a large carpark on the estate. There are three toilet facilities and two cafes. The meeting point is the cafe by the pigsties.
