Why not come and photograph the Alnwick Garden, This garden was created by the Duchess of Northumberland in 2001. I can say it is one of the foremost gardens in the country and worth at least one visit. Apart from the more formal garden seen in the attached winter photograph there is a bamboo garden, a poison garden and hopefully the orchard will be in bloom while we are there.
It also has a cafe attached.
The one drawback is that there is an entrance fee (£19.70). If there are more than 14 of us we are classed as a party and we get a small discount.

Head into Alnwick by leaving the A1 at the first junction south of the town. Continue straight on at the roundabout and straight on at the next. Eventually you will see an ancient gateway across the road. Turn right just after the lights and before the gate and follow the road round and into the adjacent car park, where we will meet;
Meet in car park.
