The walk will be in Ringwood, Hampshire and will be centered around the Bickerley Village Green, the Danny Cracknell Pocket Park and a small section of The Castleman Trailway.
The walk includes:
The Bickerley Village Green
The Bickerley Village Green known locally as simply ‘the Bickerley’ which was created as a Village Green on 19 December 1990. This involved the combination of 468 sq. metres of land, formerly part of Maybridge Farm, and the original Bickerley Common, 311 sq. metres of land. A Village Green is a highly protected area, for the benefit of local people. It is maintained and managed by the Council what3words ///quietest.situates.mainframe

The Castleman Trailway.
A section of the old railway track that passed through Ringwood. The track has three water crossings (The Bickerley Millstream, The River Avon and the Kings Stream) as well as a range of parkland flora and fauna.

My recommendation is to park and meet in the Blykbonnie car park in Ringwood at 10am on Sunday 4th May, I will meet you at the exit to the car park (there is only one entrance in and one out - so easy to find!) location co-ordinates shown below or use this What3Words reference as a general guide to get to the car park and meeting point ///humans.liberated.unloaded. the street address is: Kingsbury's Lane, Ringwood, Hampshire, United Kingdom, BH24 1DN
It is a pay and display carpark with both short & long stay parking bays and with the following charges:
Short Stay: 1 hour £1.50, 2 hours £3.10, 3 hours £3.70
Long stay:1 hour £1.50, 2 hours £3.10, 3 hours £3.70, 4 hours £4.20, 5hours £5.20, 20 hours £8.30
Charges apply 8am to 6pm every day including bank holidays.
NFDC Parking Clocks may be used in this car park. Parking is free for those displaying a valid Blue Disabled Parking Badge. Maximum stay 3 hours in short stay bays.
Once we have all assembled we will walk the short distance to the Bickerley Green and then disperse from there to find things to photograph!
I am planning for the meeting and walk to have a duration of 2 1/2 hours but again due to the nature of the location this can be extended or reduced by each photographer as they wish - all I would ask is that if you are going to leave early or stay later that you let me know so that I won't be expecting you back at the starting point at 1230hrs.
There are no public toilets at the meeting point or along the walk route but there are public toilets in the town (about 10minutes walk from the meeting point).
Food & Drink
There are a number of cafes in Ringwood many of which are open on Sundays and offer a wide range of food and drink.
The walk is on maintained paths which on the whole are level and which are easy to use and if you stick to these then walking shoes should be OK. You can get access to the waters edge from a few locations and I would suggest if you are planning to do this that you will need walking boots or wellington boots; the areas off the paths can be slippery, wet, muddy and sometimes a little bit boggy! I would suggest taking a walking stick or pole too if you are planning to head off the beaten track.
