Mowbray Park in Sunderland is one of the oldest municipal parks in NE England. It was voted best park in Britain in 2008. It also has the Winter Gardens so there are opportunities whatever the weather. The access is suitable for everyone with good paths around the park and the Winter Garden is indoors with lift access to the upper level.
